The Matt Darwon designed tokonoma lounge bar is elegant, but laidback, with a focus on soft lines, flowing forms and natural materials. The project commissioned detailed joinery requiring precision and craftsmanship only available from a furniture manufacturer. The design called for 5 tonnes of solid spotted gum, and 250m2 of spotted gum veneer, making it one of the most extensive uses of native Australian timber in an interior fitout.
