Designer Stefanie Hering set up her own small atelier in Berlin 1992. From
these humble beginnings grew the hering BERLIN manufacturer, today a huge
success in Europe. In her workshop Stefanie still creates individual hand
made pieces.
hering BERLIN’s beautiful work has an emphasis on unglazed porcelain
– its dry, porous look is synonymous with modernism and poetic purism.
Each piece has a unique form, and its own story to tell. Beclau has chosen
a fine selection of these, all chosen for their brilliant shapes and unusual
finishes.
The set of four sweet dishes, all with strikingly playful decor, set a beautiful
example of Hering’s collection. In contrast, the gold cups create a
sacred atmoshphere, taking you back to the days of wine served in goblets.
And the purist in you will not feel left out with the cone vases whose charm
lies in their striking, straight lines.
